Good but not great Indian Cuisine

I have heard many a story about the fine food at the Pir Mahal, one of Hamilton's oldest curry houses. The decor is fine and the food is to match. By no means the best curry I have tasted but by no means the worst.

inconsistent

Beware if you are a vegetarian visiting the Pir as the value for money is way below par.Have just returned from a visit, having ordered a vegetable biryani which was basically rice with peas and gravy. My husband's chicken achari balti was apparently lovely. Have had better.
